 variable  A symbol for a number we don't know yet. It is usually a letter like x or y. Example: in x + 2 = 6, x is the variable.
 prime  A Prime Number can be divided evenly only by 1 or itself.
 digit  A symbol used to make numerals. 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are the ten digits we use in everyday numbers.
 standard form  Another name for "Scientific Notation", where a number is written in two parts: * First: just the digits (with the decimal point placed after the first digit), * Followed by: ×10 to a power that woul
