  • sentence -- a group of words that expresses a complete thought; must have a noun, verb, capital at the beginning and punctuation at the end
  • resolution -- how was the problem solved
  • setting -- WHERE does the story take place? WHEN does the story take place?
  • epiphany -- a sudden moment of clarity; that "Why didn't I think of that sooner?" moment when you figure out how to do something in a better way
  • adverbs -- words that modify, or add to, verb to make them more descriptive
