  • Compound -- A type of matter made up of two elements that are chemically bonded.

  • Density -- A concentration of matter, mass per unit of volume
  • Solution -- Is a mixture of two or more substances uniformly dispersed. The mixture is spread out evenly and will not settle.
  • Element -- The basic building block of matter. It cannot be broken down by chemical means.
  • Matter -- is anything that takes up space; a solid, liquid ,gas.
  • Volume -- Is a measure of the amount of space an object takes up (also the loudness of a sound, but that’s not until later when we review energy) V= LxBxH
  • Chemical change -- A reaction or change in a substance produced by chemical means that results in producing a new chemical.
  • Liquid -- Is a state of matter with a definite volume , but no definite shape.
