Stingray Chaser

Free stingrays and remove harmful algae from the ocean. After removing enough debris from the stingrays, you will be asked to select the correct answer to continue.

Science Electric (con.)

  • System -- Electrical parts(bulb,wires,D Cell) that make a complete circuit.
  • Volt -- The unit used to measure the pressure on electrons in a circuit.
  • Resistance -- Slows the flow of electricity.
  • Transmit -- To pass through a material.
  • StaticElectric. -- Electric built up in one place.
  • Ci.Breaker/Fuse -- Electrical saftey devices;they prevent electrical fires;they do this by melting(fuse)or turning off(circuit breaker) when to much electricity passes through.
  • Voltage -- The pressure that makes electric current move through a circiut.

Science Vocab.Electric

  • Circut -- The pathway along which electricity flows (kind of loop/circle).
  • Series circuit -- An electric circuit in which the devices are connected in one continuaous loop (if there is a break in the circuit, the current stops).
  • ElectricCurrent -- The flow electrical energy.
  • Charge -- A negative or positive force given to a particle through gain or loss of electrons.
  • Electricity -- A form of energy that is produced when electrons move from one place to another.
  • Conduction -- A form of heat transfer in which heat moves through an object because of direct contact.
  • Open circuit -- The path through which electricity may flow has been broken.
  • Switch -- A device that opens and closes an electric circuit.
  • EnergyTransfor. -- A change of energy into a different form.
  • Insulator -- A material that does not allow electricity or heat to flow easily.
  • Closed circuit -- A complete system of electrical parts in a path that allows electricity to flow.
  • ParallelCircuit -- A circuit with two or more branches for current to flow; if there is a break inn any branch, the current will STILL go through the other branches (bulbs will still light).
  • Electromagnent -- A metal object, wrapped in wire, that becomes magnetic by receiving an electrical charge.
  • Transfer -- To move from one place to another.
  • Conductor -- Material that transmits electricity or heat easily.
