OCIS vocabulary

  • skill -- The ability to do something well.
  • cluster -- A way to group occupations by some common feature. CIS has clusters that group occupations by function (what people in the occupations do or perform).
  • undergraduate -- A student enrolled in a program leading to a certificate or an associate, baccalaureate, or other undergraduate degree.
  • masterdegree -- The first graduate (post-baccalaureate) degree in the liberal arts, sciences, and certain professional fields, usually requiring one to two years of full-time study.
  • ability -- A natural talent or acquired skill.
